Few musicians captured the rock and roll spirit like Warren Zevon. The fun-loving singer/songwriter never failed to get fans dancing, with boogie-influenced songs like “Lawyers, Guns and Money” and the famous “Werewolves Of London.” It’s no surprise that Zevon collaborated with a who’s who of musicians throughout his career, including the likes of Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Jackson Browne, Neil Young, Jerry Garcia, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, and so many more. Aside from his music, Zevon always had a charm about him, which comes through during stage banters and various appearances on The Late Show With David Letterman.

Below, you can watch full-show footage of Zevon’s 1982 performance at the old Capitol Theatre in Passaic, NJ. Zevon is in fine form, joking with the audience throughout and delivering some of his classic tunes. Watch the video, an early production by MTV, below.
