On Thursday night, The Disco Biscuits kicked off their two-night Halloween run at the Worcester Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts, ahead of their Saturday performance at Suwannee Hulaween. The entirety of the show was webcast to fans for free via the band’s YouTube, including the opening set by lespecial.

The Disco Biscuits Announce Free Webcast Of Worcester Halloween Shows

After the Disco Biscuits’ opened their first set with a “Grass Is Green” sandwich housing “Minions”, the Biscuits hit “Loose Change” before launching into perennial favorite “Confrontation”. One of the highlights of the first set came during the set-closing “Confrontation” sandwich, with the Biscuits teasing the Star Wars theme during the transition out of “Gangster” and back into “Confrontation” to close the set.

During the five-song second set, after announcing a number of winners for their upcoming fan appreciation show in Boulder, Colorado, at the Fox Theatre, the band returned with the upbeat “Munchkin Invasion”. By way of “Voices Insane” and an energized “Astronaut”, the band quickly returned to “Munchkin Invasion”, ahead of the closing tune “Reactor”, which saw an extended, more minimalist and light jam. In a somewhat rare move, the group returned with an encore of three standalone tunes: “Once The Fiddler Paid”, “M.E.M.P.H.I.S.”, and a triumphant, show-closing “Spacebirdmatingcall”.
