On November 18th, Ghost-Note and The Nth Power took over New York City with a collaborative doubleheader at Club Bonafide. Offering up two shows—an early performance at 7 pm and a late-night extravaganza starting at 11 pm—the two acts teamed up to put on an energized funk-fueled evening for the masses. Nikki Glaspie, Nate Edgar, and Nick Cassarino’s trio, The Nth Power, laid out powerful performances for both sets, with a focus on tight grooves and impeccable stand-out vocals. As for Ghost-Note, the group lived up to the lofty expectations frequently placed on the Snarky Puppy side project led by the Grammy Award-winning percussion duo of Robert “Sput” Searight and Nate Werth. With a rotating crew of lauded musicians, each Ghost-Note performance is always a delight.
