Connecticut-based jam-rock quintet Goose staged its return to Wisconsin on Thursday night after seven months away from the Badger State. The performance marked the group’s debut at The Sylvee, nestled in the heart of downtown Madison.

The two-set show in Madison saw Goose embark on extended improvisational journeys on fan-favorite songs throughout the evening, from the opening “Earthling or Alien?” and late first-set “Rosewood Heart” to the second set’s “Arrow” and “Arcadia”.

The performance also featured a few welcome selections from Goose’s eclectic portfolio of covers including Bob Marley‘s “Caution”, Bon Iver‘s “AUATC”, and an encore boogie through The Trammps‘ “Disco Inferno”.

The current leg of Goose tour wraps up this weekend with shows at Old Forester’s Paristown Hall in Louisville, KY on Friday, February 11th and Stage AE in Pittsburgh, PA on Saturday, February 12th. For a full list of upcoming Goose tour dates, head here.

The Madison show, as well as the rest of Goose’s recent performances, are now available to stream and download via nugs.net and Bandcamp.
