16-year-old guitar phenom Brandon “Taz” Niederauer spent the first two days of this week sitting in with house band Jon Batiste & Stay Human on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

On Wednesday, Taz posted a clip from his stint on Colbert with Stay Human on social media. In the video, Brandon steps out from the bandstand to rip one of his patented, blistering solos in a sharp charcoal suit.

As Taz noted in a Facebook post along with the video, “It was an incredible honor to join my mentor Jon Batiste & Stay Human this week on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Thank you to Jon, Stephen, and the amazing band for this opportunity. I’m so grateful and can’t wait to hit it with y’all again!”
