Following the release of their new album on Friday, A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships, English pop band The 1975 has shared a new music video for their single “It’s Not Living (If It’s Not With You)”.

Directed by Warren Fu, the new music video sees The 1975 putting their own spin on footage from Jonathan Demme’s classic Talking Heads concert film Stop Making Sense. The new video opens up with lead singer Matt Healy sleeping backstage before a concert, followed by Healy coasting off into a dreamlike series of events. Clad in an oversized gray suit reminiscent of Talking Heads’ frontman David Byrne, Healy finds himself performing at a show in front of a house band, before he notices he’s missing his lips, and coasts back off into a dream. Healy’s pants blow up at one point, and the singer starts drowning in his oversized suit, as he continues to coast in and out of reality.
