AEG Presents will partner with Jacobs Entertainment in Cleveland to open the new Globe Iron concert venue in May 2025. The latest venture from concert promotion and production giant AEG is currently slated to open with a lineup of 11 wide-ranging concerts and events, starting May 2nd, 2025 with Cleveland’s own How We Feel.

After How We Feel on May 2nd, Globe Iron will bring another locally-grown band back to the 216 when masked metal band Mushroomhead performs on May 3rd. The initial lineup also includes post-punk vets The Damned with The BellRays (5/3), L.A. alt-rockers The Wrecks (5/6), indie band The Crane Wives from nearby Grand Rapids, MI (5/7), singer-songwriter Shakey Graves (5/10), metal co-bill Napalm Death and Melvins (5/11), Asheville, NC country-rock it-kid MJ Lenderman (5/14) Cleveland’s Absolute Intense Wrestling (5/16), Britsh indie-pop band Panchiko (6/2), and San Francisco underground psych stalwarts OSEES (10/28).

Located at the former Globe Iron Works Foundry which opened in 1853, the Globe Iron concert venue marks the latest development for the slow revitalization of the West Bank of the Flats along the Cuyahoga River. At 2325 Elm St., the new venue will be less than half a mile from Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica, the city’s premiere outdoor amphitheater with a standing capacity of 5,000. AEG Presents signed a ten-year agreement in 2022 to control operations at Jacobs Pavilion, following the L.A.-based company’s remodeling of downtown’s historic Agora Theatre and Ballroom in 2018. Globe Iron will fill a gap in the Birthplace of Rock n’ Roll between the 2,000-capacity Agora and the beloved locally owned and operated 500-capacity Beachland Ballroom on the east side of downtown Cleveland. AEG Presents will operate and exclusively book the concert venue and plans to bring “an additional 150 events to the city.”

According to a press release, Globe Iron will be a multi-purpose venue capable of hosting weddings, corporate events, concerts, and more. In addition to the indoor concert venue, it will feature an open-air courtyard, cocktail area, and state-of-the-art sound and lighting.

“Cleveland has been a focus for AEG Presents since renovating the iconic Agora six years ago. With a design focused on the best live experience, Globe Iron will be a must-play venue in the region,” says Jason Rogalewski, senior vice president of AEG Presents Great Lakes, in a news release. “It will check all the boxes with state-of-the-art sound and lighting, perfect sight lines, and world-class amenities for both fans and artists, all within a unique setting that ensures a truly great experience and supports our goal of bringing more tours to Cleveland.”
