Aerosmith will stay in Vegas for a bit longer than initially planned as part of their upcoming residency at the Park Theater at Park MGM Resort. The “Deuces Are Wild” Residency, as the run of shows has been formally branded, is scheduled to begin on April 6th, and was initially supposed to continue over 18 performances before wrapping on July 9th. The newly-announced extension will now keep the band in “Sin City” into the fall months with 17 more shows set to begin on September 21st and continuing until December 4th.
The famous arena rock band was in Atlanta recently to perform at the Super Bowl festivities the night before the big game. Their show on February 2nd was the first public performance for guitarist Joe Perry since the 68-year-old was rushed to the hospital following a sit-in performance at a Billy Joel concert in New York City in November. The health scare had even forced Perry to cancel his run of solo tour dates which had been scheduled for late-November and into December. Aerosmith also treated guests at Steven Tyler‘s Janie’s Fund Gala/Grammy Viewing Party to an 11-song performance in Hollywood, CA over the weekend.
It was also announced earlier this month that Aerosmith will receive their own star/plaque on the famous Walk of Fame in Hollywood later this week on February 14th.

Following a year which will see them sticking to their Las Vegas performance schedule, Aerosmith is expected to announce a tour of some kind for their 50th anniversary in 2020. Members have already hinted on the possibility of doing a final tour, especially with members like Perry continuing to deal with health issues as they creep towards their twilight years.
