Phish at SPAC up in Saratoga Springs, NY has become one of the staples of summer tour over the years, and a place in which many legendary shows have occurred. Afterwards, the downtown area is flooded with heads looking for the late-night hang, and most of all some late-night music. For this summer’s run of shows, Live For Live Music and Putnam Den have you covered!

For the Phish shows on July 1st and 3rd, some exciting tributes are going down at the Putnam Den. On July 1st, The Heavy Pets will pay tribute to the 1980’s with a grooving dance party, with support from The Hornitz, Hayley Jane, and more! To bring it all home on July 3rd, the venue will host an all-star Cosmik Playground tribute to Frank Zappa, with members of of Zappa’s band, RAQ, Dopapod, Digital Tape Machine and more!

Friday, July 1st – The Heavy Pets Tribute to the 80’s Dance Party ft. The Hornitz, Hayley Jane and Ryan Clausen (Hayley Jane and the Primates) and the Magnaterrestrial Dancers

The Heavy Pets are no strangers to the late-night Phish scene, and for the first night of the Phish’s SPAC run, get ready for an 80’s dance party. Expect a little Prince, David Bowie, A-Ha, Flock of Seagulls, Tears for Fears, as special guests The Hornitz, vocalist Hayley Jane and percussionist Ryan Clausen  (Hayley Jane and the Primates) and more join in for what is sure to be a throwdown on this first night of celebrations.

Sunday, July 3rd – Cosmik Playground (Funk-filled tribute to Frank Zappa) ft. Ed Mann, Todd Stoops, Marcus Rezak, Scotty Zwang, Dan Lotito and special guests Gabriel Marin (Consider the Source) and Shwizz

It is no secret that the Vermont Quartet loves them some Frank Zappa; so much so that drummer Jon Fishman even put his own Zappa Picks compilation together (check it out on Amazon). It only makes sense to show some late-night love to one of the greatest composers of the 20th century. Percussionist and long-time Zappa band member Ed Mann will be joined by keyboardist Todd Stoops (RAQ), guitarist Marcus Rezak (Digital Tape Machine), drummer Scotty Zwang (Dopapod), bassist Dan Lotito and special guest guitarist Gabriel Marin (Consider the Source), as well as Nyack, NY prog-funk rockers Shwizz for what is sure to be a grand finale to this epic 3-night run of shows.
