2013 has been quite the busy year for the Allman Brothers Band. As the legendary artists came into their 44th year as a group, they spent their winter headlining an 11-night run at NYC’s extravagant Beacon Theatre, AND piecing together the second annual Peach Festival roster. If two nights of Allman Brothers and Bob Weir & Ratdog weren’t convincing enough, they have just announced five more acts to dazzle Pennsylvania’s Montage Mountain.

The funkified electronic energy of Lotus, the blissful reggae tones of Giant Panda Guerrilla Dub Squad, the jazzy, eclectic sounds of Karl Denson, and PA natives MIZ and Cabinet will be joining the Peach Music Festival Thursday, August 15- Sunday, August 18.

Besides these stellar additions, these four epic nights include Grace Potter’s swooning blues, Galactic’s New Orleans’ lively charm, Gov’t Mule led by Warren Haynes, Rusted Root, and one of my absolute favorites (and probably one of the jam scene’s greatest emerging bands), Dopapod. If you want to check out all this organic music tucked away in the mountains of good ol’ Pennsylvania, and even enjoy a solo acoustic session with yours truly, Mr. Bobby Weir during lunch, I suggest snagging a 4 day pass ($129) ASAP. Last year’s turn out of about 30,000 is sure to rise with the second annual Peach Festival boasting one of summer 2013′s best lineups.
