[9/14/21]: Devon Allman has announced details for the 2021 edition of the Allman Family Revival traveling concert showcase. This year’s 18-date tour will feature marathon performances by The Allman Betts Band, Robert Randolph, Donavon Frankenreiter, Lilly Hiatt, and more.
Set to kick off on November 27th in St. Louis, MO, this coast-to-coast tour will also host Cody and Luther Dickinson, Eric Gales, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Jimmy Hall, Lamar Williams Jr., and more to be announced, with appearances by Kenny Wayne Shepherd, G. Love, Samantha Fish, Alex Orbison, and Kenny Aronoff in select markets.
The Allman Family Revival began on what would have been Allman Brothers Band co-founder Gregg Allman‘s 70th birthday, December 7th, 2017. On that day, his son Devon gathered up an all-star cast of musicians who had toured with his father, jammed with him, and inspired him for a star-studded show. Four years later, the tradition has ballooned into a coast-to-coast tour with a nightly format reminiscent of The Band‘s iconic The Last Waltz, with The Allman Betts Band serving as the house band for an evening full of guest sit-ins.
