In late June, eTown Radio hosted a very special taping performance with New Orleans-based guitarist Anders Osborne at Boulder, CO’s eTown Hall. Bluegrass outfit Chatham County Line was also a featured guest throughout the live radio taping experience.

Nick Forster, a founding member of Hot Rize, and his wife, Helen Forster, hosted and moderated the evening’s activities as they’ve done since co-founding the 501c3 non-profit nationally syndicated radio broadcast/podcast in 1991.

Backed by the eTown house band and Forster on electric guitar, Osborne opened up his performance with “Coming Down”, the title track off of his 2007 album. Anders and the program’s house band continued on with “Back On Dumaine” before working through “Running” and “Smoke & Mirrors”,  two tunes off of Osborne’s latest studio album, Buddha & The Blues.

In addition to originals, Anders honored the late Dr. John with a cover of “Let’s Make A Better World”, which was followed up by a collaborative encore of The Rolling Stones‘ “The Last Time” featuring Chatham County Line and the McIntosh County Shouters.
