Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and famed rock producer Andrew Watt have developed a reputation for recruiting some seriously big names for their Smith/Watt Steakhouse shows (just a couple months ago, they welcomed a guest appearance by some guy named Paul from a band called The Beatles?), but they really outdid themselves on Thursday at The Capitol Theatre with a lineup featuring Eddie Vedder, Roger Daltrey, Iggy Pop, Warren Haynes, Elvis Costello, Billy Idol, Questlove, and more.

After warming up the crowd with Prince‘s “Let’s Go Crazy” and Led Zeppelin‘s “Whole Lotta Love”, the band welcomed former Allman Brothers Band guitarist and Gov’t Mule bandleader Warren Haynes for “Whipping Post”. That was just the first of many increasingly mind-blowing special guests, though. Next came Elvis Costello, who sat in on The Clash‘s “Should I Stay or Should I Go” and “Pump it Up”.

Billy Idol then joined in on a few tunes culminating with The Rolling Stones‘ “Gimme Shelter”, which featured Lisa Fischer singing the iconic part recorded by Mary Clayton. Iggy Pop then made a rare guest appearance, performing songs from throughout his career including “The Passenger”, “Search and Destroy”, and “I Wanna Be Your Dog”, during which actor Rob Lowe emerged and did a shirtless impression of The Stooges frontman, dancing around the stage to the crowd’s amazement—oh, and as if that wasn’t wild enough, Questlove was rocking out on sleigh bells.

Somehow, that was still only the beginning. Next up was Pearl Jam singer Eddie Vedder. The stadium rock veteran graced The Capitol Theatre stage for a series of PJ songs, concluding with “Better Man”. Saving one of the best guests for last, Watt and Smith welcomed The Who‘s Roger Daltrey for a run through some classic songs, starting with “Pinball Wizard” and ending with “Baba O’Riley”.

The star-studded evening ended with on a high note with all hands on deck for “My Generation” and “Rockin’ in the Free World” (couldn’t get Neil Young for that one I guess).
