Andy Frasco & The U.N. continued their traveling cavalcade of debauchery this week with shows in Birmingham, AL; Asheville, NC; and Atlanta, GA. The tour, which features support from Nick Gerlach, made stops at Birmingham’s Saturn on Wednesday, Asheville’s Salvage Station on Thursday, and Atlanta’s Terminal West on Friday.

Frasco and his band of musical marauders were forced to call an audible early on in the tour as the spread of COVID caused Gerlach to abandon his World Saving Talent Show opening act. Instead, the Turbo Suit saxophonist and World Saving Sh*tshow correspondent started a cult. Though some matching robes or chanting would have been appropriate, instead the opening set—now billed as Nick Gerlach’s Cult Conference—consists of Gerlach playing saxophone and keyboards over pre-recorded beats and delivering his signature brand of deadpan wit.

As for Frasco and The U.N., the ensemble still delivers the same brand of high-energy, bombastic funk that rocketed him onto the live music circuit. Following a brief respite, the tour is set to resume on December 1st at Union Stage in Washington, D.C. For tickets and a full list of tour dates visit Frasco’s website.
