Leftover Salmon‘s Andy Thorn is a big fan of the holidays, and this year he’s getting an early start on the festivities with the release of his new Christmas album, High Country Holiday.
Featuring ten instrumental takes on classic songs and one original, High Country Holiday continues Andy’s tradition of sharing clawhammer Christmas carols to spread comfort and joy throughout the holiday season. In past years, he has posted videos from his snowy Colorado home, but now fans have the chance to own the whole collection, perfect for filling your home with Christmas cheer and as a gift for any bluegrass or Leftover Salmon fan.
Available now on CD, vinyl, and digitally, the album features contributions from some of Andy’s favorite musician friends, including Allie Kral, Andy Reiner, and Bobby Britt (Town Mountain) on fiddle, Dr. Joy Adams (Big Richard) on cello, Erik Deutsch (The Black Crowes) on piano, and Andy’s longtime Leftover Salmon bandmate Dr. Greg Garrison on bass. It was engineered and mixed by Jay Elliott at IntroVertigo Studios and mastered by Anna Frick at Ally Sound, with artwork by Steve Johanssen.
