Papadosio continues their rise as one of the fastest growing live acts on the scene. Formed in Athens, OH, the exploratory and progressive rockers mix elements of rock, jazz and electronic samplings that they’ve coined “space rock”. Today, the group has announced its schedule for a nine-week national tour this fall, which will also feature Daily Bread, Higher Learning, Evanoff, Frameworks Live Band, Russ Liquid Test, Lapa and Litz on select dates. Dubbed the Content Coma Fall Tour, the tour will also promote Papadosio’s forthcoming full-length studio album, Content Coma, due out on September 7th.
For the first time in their career, Papadosio has gone into a recording studio for this album where they recorded the drums, grand piano, and bass. Originally, the band created and hosted their musical ideas and thoughts on the online collaborative platform, Splice. There they began their process with over 30 ideas for this new record, Content Coma.
Papadosio kicks off tour on September 14th at Atlanta’s Variety Playhouse, followed up by a festival appearance on September 20th at Thornville, Ohio’s Resonance Music and Arts Festival. The band heads to New York City next for an appearance with STS9 at Pier 17 on September 28th, followed by an appearance the following weekend, October 5th, at Chicago’s The Big Weekend.
The band heads to the Southwest next, stopping at Santa Fe’s legendary art experience, Meow Wolf, on October 9th, before continuing West with an extensive trek up the coast, including stops in Flagstaff, AZ, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Petaluma, CA, Arcata, CA, Eugene, OR, Seattle, Portland, and Bellingham, WA, before snaking back east for a stop at Denver’s Fillmore Auditorium on October 27th.
The last two weeks of Papadosio’s fall tour will see the band continuing headings East, as they make their way through Fayetteville, AR, Tulsa, OK, Lincoln, NE, Madison, WI, Lansing, MI, Morgantown, WV, Raleigh, NC, and Charlotte, NC, before the tour finale at the beloved 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C., November 10th.
