Earlier this week, Arcade Fire posted a touching note in memory of David Bowie, thanking the iconic rocker for making “it possible for [their] band to exist.” Now, the band is paying tribute to Bowie in the biggest way possible, as they’re teaming up with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band for a Second Line parade this weekend.
The event group asks fans to “dress in your best Bowie outfit or something more strange” before meeting at Preservation Hall at 4 PM on Saturday, January 16th. The group also offers a contemplative Bowie quote: “The truth is of course is that there is no journey. We are arriving and departing all at the same time.”
