With a plethora of news surrounding Arcade Fire recently, from the mystery surrounding their new album Reflektor, the release of their new single at 9pm tonight via iTunes, to the cover art of the album (which portrays the Greek legend of Orpheus and Eurydice), news has surfaced that the band will be making their return to the live stage on the season premier of Saturday Night Live with host Tina Fey, which is scheduled for September 28th.

The new single and title track “Reflektor” is rumored to have an appearance from David Bowie, and produced by LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy. The track is roughly 8 minutes, and is said to be very disco-oriented, which would make sense if Murphy had anything to do with it.

The album is rumored to be released as a double-album. However, as with everything else surrounding Reflektor, that remains a mystery as well. Here is a tweet via ArcadeFireTube:
