Earlier this week, special counsel Robert Mueller started delivering indictments into his investigation of the Donald Trump campaign and their connections to Russia. With the news of several counts coming down on former campaign manager Paul Manafort and the guilty plea of staffer George Papadopolous, Trump’s hold on the White House has never felt worse. In response to the news, one heroic voice decided to chronicle this historic moment in time with a comedic, meme-based look at Trump and his campaign, all set to the lyrics of Bruce Springsteen‘s classic ballad “Atlantic City”.

Written by Vice and former Gawker editor Gabrielle Bluestone, the posts started appearing on Wednesday, with Bluestone tweeting the opening lyric “well they blew up the chicken man in Philly last night” with a photo of Manafort exiting his car on his way to turning himself in following his indictment. She continued tweeting memes and lyrics throughout the day until the entire song was finished, and, in short, it is hilarious. It attracted the attention of a large portion of the twitter-verse for the day, and as of this writing, the original tweet had approximately 5,100 retweets and 16,000 likes. Many of the replies are from a whos-who of comedians, actors, and musicians, such as Patton Oswald, Seth Meyers, and Nils Lofgren of the E Street Band.
