At this point, we’re all used to tropical destination festival events, with multi-day concerts at resorts across the Carribean and Mexico quickly becoming the norm for many artists during the winter months. However, last March, the Innovative Giving Enhancement (IGE) announced a different type of music trip—its Music & Art Immersion in Venice, Italy. Over the weekend, this ten-day European program kicked off, bringing together Bill Nershi and Keith Moseley of The String Cheese Incident, Paul Hoffman and Anders Beck of Greensky Bluegrass, Nicki Bluhm of Nicki Bluhm & The Gramblers, Scott Law and Ross James of Phil Lesh and Friends, Timothy Carbone of Railroad Earth, Matt Butler of Everyone Orchestra, Jilian Nershi of Honkeytonk Homeslice, and fans together to explore Venice and enjoy music and art.
Obviously, super jams across this group are to be expected during the ten-day trip. You can watch a video of Hoffman, Beck, Carbone, Law, Moseley, Nershi, Nershi, and Bluhm tearing into a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “Atlantic City” below, courtesy of Adam Eaton, and stay tuned for more updates from this special destination event.
