Due to a lawsuit against Live Nation, anyone who attended concerts at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ, from 2003-2011, is entitled to an awesome settlement.

The legal proceedings began with a class-action suit in 2009, in which plaintiffs claimed the venue was padding ticket prices. Live Nation charged an addition $6.00 parking fee to each ticket, regardless of whether individuals planned to park there!

To settle the suit, Live Nation is offering three free lawn tickets and a $5.00 discount to anyone who attended a show at PNC Bank between 2003 and 2011. Over 363,000 people are eligible for this settlement, which would cost Live Nation upwards of $38 million in revenue.

Anyone who qualifies for the settlement must apply before April 30th, at www.livenationsettlement.com. While all members eligible for the tickets should have received an e-mail, only 10% (roughly 30,000 people) have signed up.

“I don’t want to overstate the wide-ranging effect this has on reforming the system,” said Henry Wolfe of the Wolf Law Firm, who represented the plaintiffs. “But I would say this is a substantial victory over what we see as abusive fee practices.”
