This morning, Austin City Limits, which is slated for October 6-8 and October 13-15, announced its line-up for 2017. The two-weekend festival will go down at Zilker Park in downtown Austin, Texas, and dropped some big names to top the bill: Red Hot Chili PeppersChance The RapperGorillaz, and The Killers. Others acts of interest that caught our eye on Austin City Limits’ announcement are Ryan Adams, Portugal. The MaBonoboThe RevivalistsVulfpeckThundercatSolangeGlass Animals, and Run The Jewels, though they are just a sampling of the diverse talent that will flock to Austin come October.

However, a few hours later, Austin City Limits issued another announcement—that Jay Z would be topping the bill, marking his first festival appearance in the United States since 2014. The addition is exciting for fans who have seen Jay Z , though no doubt peculiar, considering the festival seemingly forgot to announce its biggest headliner only to add him on a little later. Regardless of the bizarre timing, people are stoked. Three-day passes went on sale today via the festival’s website, though single-day tickets will go on sale later in the year.
