Barry Gibb (Bee Gees) and Dolly Parton have teamed up for a beautiful new single entitled, “Words”, which will appear on the former’s forthcoming studio album GREENFIELDS: The Gibb Brothers Songbook, Vol. 1, due out January 8th via Capitol Records.

Released on New Year’s Eve, the softly-sung piano ballad hears the two veteran singer-songwriters trade off vocal duties as Parton gently sings “This world has lost its glory/Let’s start a brand new story now, my love” to open the song. Gibb eventually joins in to sing alongside Parton, and their vocal performances are given some added beauty thanks to the dreamy notation from a pedal steel guitar to make for a wonderful listening experience.
