Get ready for more Bassnectar. The producer is ready to drop yet another single, ‘Take You Down’, on September 24, along with three other new tracks that have yet to be properly released. In a statement, the producer, real name Lorin Ashton, described the track and release:
“Take You Down” is an airy track of pulsing chords, emotive synths and driving 808′s that make this an instant Bassnectar classic. An alternate West Coast Lo Fi mix is also included. “Expanded”, made with ill.Gates has been a live staple and moves much like a film score with ethereal interludes and plenty of beats and bass, as well as being featured on the Immersive Music Mixtape Side One. The sonically brutal “Raw Charles” was included on “Here Come The Bastards” remix Bassnectar did for Primus. “Colorstorm” was originally the centerpiece of the Colorstorm mixtape, and now it sees a life of its own on this special release. “‘Take You Down’ was put together as a summertime jam, something deep, lush and euphoric. “I started it while I was on vacation, and the general theme is basically falling in love and that slow motion feeling you get when you plunge backwards into something overwhelming, but never hit the ground. I like releasing it as a single, but giving 5 distinct tracks for the [Bass]heads,”
