In an interview with Night Owl Radio, hosted by Insomniac founder Pasquale Rotella, Bassnectar has announced that he will officially be named “Resident DJ” of Electric Forest, and will now play the festival each year alongside original anchor band The String Cheese Incident. The bass-heavy star DJ had this to say about the new arrangement:
“After last year, you asked if I would come in as an official resident, just to play each year, and I haven’t really done that officially for any festival yet, but I just kind of felt like there was nowhere else that felt like home for that.”
This is exciting news for the Bassnectar community, since String Cheese’s yearly celebrations at The Forest have shown us that the host artists at Electric Forest always deliver amazing production, fun surprises, and a unique experience.  We are eager see what Bassnectar has in store for the first year of his residency!
