sweetgreen’s Sweetlife Festival at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD places an emphasis on encouraging healthy eating habits into music culture through creative dishes curated by top chefs. Their latest creation is the Kendrick Lamar-inspired Beets Don’t Kale My Vibe (a play on B*tch Don’t Kill My Vibe). Lamar will headline the Sweetlife Festival on May 30-31.
The salad contains “shredded local kale, roasted chicken, goat cheese, organic wild rice, and flash roasted beets, which are marinated in balsamic vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, and a hint of honey.” It will be available at the festival as well as at all 29 sweetgreen restaurants across the Northeast throughout May. 10% of all sales of the salad go to FoodCorps, a charity aimed at bringing nutrition and real food back to schools.
Sweetlife Festival’s lineup features Lamar, Calvin Harris, Pixies, The Weekend, Billy Idol, Banks, Charli XCX, Phantogram and many more. For full lineup and ticket info click here.
