Béla Fleck is hosting a very special Friends & Family show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado on May 30th, 2019. The band has now added longtime Flecktones and Dave Matthews Band saxophonist Jeff Coffin to the one-night event, replacing multi-instrumentalist  Sam Bush.

Recently, Bush underwent a bowel resection and has been a bit slow to recover from the surgery, causing the musician to cancel all scheduled tour dates through the end of May. In addition to Coffin, Béla Fleck’s Friends & Family show will feature Béla Fleck and the Flecktones (feat. Victor Wooten, Future Man, and Howard Levy), The Colorado SymphonyJerry Douglas, and Abigail Washburn. For the first time in Flecktones history, both Jeff Coffin and Howard Levy will be sharing the stage together.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the Flecktones and this very special show in Colorado,” explained Coffin. “I can’t wait to dust off some of the music we made together. It’s like a family reunion!”

Fleck added, “We are thrilled that Jeff is available to join us at the last minute and we can add his immense talent to the already formidable lineup!”

Continuing the celebration of their 30th anniversary, Béla Fleck and the Flecktones are gearing up for their expansive tour which will run through December 2019.
