Fiyawerx and Winter Circle Productions have announced an absolutely insane double-bill that will bring some of the biggest names in funk to New Orleans on Halloween weekend. Billed as “Monsters of Funk”, the Joy Theater will host an almost-too-good-to-be-true supergroup featuring Bernard Purdie, Oteil Burbridge, Leo Nocentelli, Ivan Neville, and the Dirty Dozen Brass Band horns. The Motet round out this impressive lineup, bringing their awesome “Mixtape 1979” set to the funky occasion.
