On Saturday, December 26th, 50+ artists and hundreds of thousands of viewers around the world came together for Georgia Comes Alive, a virtual music festival aimed at promoting voter participation in Georgia’s critical Senate runoff elections on January 5th, 2021.
One of the many world-renowned acts to take part in the nine-hour livestream was the genre-blending electronic duo Big Gigantic, who delivered a two-song rooftop set in front of an absolutely stunning natural backdrop from their home base of Denver, CO.
The twilight performance, which treated viewers to picturesque views of the Denver skyline and its breathtaking mountain range to the west by way of a drone camera, saw Dominic Lalli play his saxophone from behind a mixing board/turntable setup alongside Jeremy Salken on drums. Complete with stage-worthy light production, the two-song performance of “Free Your Mind” and “Friends Ft. Ashe (Party Pupils Remix)” made for a lively dance party in the virtual festival’s final segment, with beats that echoed across the city skyline away toward Georgia.
