Brooklyn Bowl was the scene of the best party in town on Saturday night. The New York City venue squeezed in a sold-out crowd for BIG Something and Andy Frasco & The U.N. as the two bands brought their ongoing co-headlining winter run to Brooklyn for a thrilling night of music that even included a pair of notable special guests later on in the show.

BIG Something delivered the first set of the evening, and the rock band had no trouble getting the crowd going with performances of “Blue Dream”, “Love Generator” and more during their 90ish-minute set. As customary on the ongoing tour with the two bands, the performances included mid-song appearances from comedian Kyle Ayers–who served as a master of ceremonies of sorts–along with masked Lucha Libre wrestlers, and even Frasco, who joined in on the fun to help BIG Something deliver a cover of Pink Floyd‘s “Another Brick In The Wall, Pt. 2”.

Following a set break, it was then Andy Frasco & The U.N.’s turn to keep the party going. The always-energized Frasco had “the Bowl” turned up to peak party levels as him and his cohorts filled the dance floor with their trademark electricity. The band made sure to treat the audience to some of the new tunes from the band’s forthcoming studio album with the uplifting “Keep On Keepin’ On” and “Waiting Game”.

“This is the most tickets we’ve ever sold as a band!” Frasco declared over the mic to the packed audience, which was more than ready to welcome Frasco and company back to NYC.

Speaking of New York City, one never really knows who might show up to Brooklyn Bowl on any given night, and Frasco surprised everyone by welcoming Turkuaz guitarist Dave Brandwein and Brandon “Taz” Niederauer to the stage toward the end of the set. The two guitarists added more fuel to the fire as they helped tear through a cover of Talking Heads‘ “Burning Down The House”.
