BIG Something has announced a series of free, full-band concert streams set to take place on a weekly basis beginning on Friday, July 31st. The series, dubbed “Escape from the Living Room,” will be captured and streamed live in multi-camera HD from the band’s recording studio in North Carolina. The series will culminate with the release of the band’s new album, Escapetheir first since 2018.

The “Escape from the Living Room” series follows the band’s recently-wrapped “Live From The Living Room” series, which saw guitarist/vocalist Nick MacDaniels and other members of the band perform a series of unique sets live from MacDaniels’ living room over the course of the last several weeks. MacDaniels even recorded a two-song solo set from his living room for Live For Live Music‘s Quarantine Comes Alive, a virtual music festival that raised over $150,000 for a variety of charities via the comprehensive PLUS1 COVID-19 Relief Fund.

Now, however, the time has come to get the back back together for real. As MacDaniels explains in a press release announcing the “Escape from the Living Room” series,

This has been the longest we’ve gone without playing as a band in our entire 10 years together. For a year that started with shows at Panic en la Playa followed by our most successful tour ever, it’s been pretty crazy shutting everything down so suddenly and then re-evaluating what to do next. Now that we’ve had some time to catch our breath and reflect, we’re all beyond excited to start making music together again and this platform just feels right. We’ll be at home in our studio where we can really capture all this pent up creative energy in the highest quality possible and anyone who wants to tune in is welcome. No tickets required and no risk of bringing a live audience together before the time is right. We’ve got a ton of cool stuff planned and we’re just really excited to have some fun with this concept and try to make the most of the situation.

“Phase One” of the BIG Something “Escape From The Living Room” couch tour series will take place on Friday, July 31st; Saturday, August 8th; Sunday, August 16th; and Saturday, August 22nd. All shows will air for free across multiple platforms including Nugs.TV and the Live For Live Music Facebook page. Stay tuned for more info on the release of Big Something’s sixth studio album ‘Escape’ coming soon.
