Big Something on Wednesday released pro-shot footage of “Evil Josh”, a new song debuted during the band’s New Year’s Eve performance. The Burlington, NC outfit was one of the few bands to ring in 2022 with a live concert, staging a four-night run at Raleigh’s Lincoln Theatre December 29th–January 1st.

The opening notes of “Evil Josh” hit hard with a wide-open “Shakedown Street”-like intro. The new song acts as a stylistic microcosm for the diversity of Big Something, showcasing the group’s inclinations toward dancing and headbanging all in the same 5:55. Taken from the third set, “Evil Josh” proclaims Big Something’s originality. The debut came from the tail end of a traditionally cover-filled NYE show for Big Something, featuring songs from Mac Miller, Billy Strings, Turkuaz, and more. Full soundboard audio of the concert is available on nugs.
