BIG Something recently released a new official music video for their song, “Plug”, which appears on their fifth full-length studio release, The Otherside.
The fan-made visual experience was put together by Jameson Mangan and contains on-screen lyrics, animations, and live performance footage with psychedelic themes woven throughout—taking viewers on a trip in and out of a BIG Something show.
As vocalist/guitarist Nick MacDaniels explains in a press release, “Like the visuals in the video, the lyrics to the song are kind of abstract and deal with illusions we create in our minds.” He continues, “I think it can be interpreted a lot of different ways but for me personally it’s about the struggle to hold on to reality within yourself.”

Fresh off a three-night run in West Virginia, the North Carolina based six-piece is preparing for three consecutive shows at Raleigh’s Lincoln Theatre (12/29–31) to ring in the New Year with their dedicated fans. Starting at the end of January, BIG Something will begin an 18-date co-headlining tour with the party-prone Andy Frasco & The U.N.—affectionately dubbed BIG Something vs. Andy Frasco & The U.N.: Royal Rumble 2020. The tour will cover parts of the Southeast, Northeast, and Midwest including stops in Athens, GA (1/30); Richmond, VA (2/9); Boston, MA (2/14); Brooklyn, NY (2/15); and Columbus, OH (2/20).
