“I don’t think psychedelics are the answer to the world’s problems, but they could be a start.”

The thought-provoking statement from Sting opens up the newly-shared trailer for Netflix‘s forthcoming documentary, Have a Good Trip: Adventures in Psychedelics, which arrives onto the video streaming platform on May 11th. The Netflix original will look to share the real-life stories of psychedelic experiences–by use of drugs including LSD, mushrooms, peyote, or ayahuasca–as told by the folks who lived them. Other interview subjects to be featured in the film include Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann, Ad-Rock (Beastie Boys), A$AP Rocky, Anthony Bourdain, David Cross, Donovan, Reggie Watts, Will Forte, Sarah Silverman, Ben Stiller, Lewis Black, and more.

The film was created over the span of a decade by Emmy-winning writer and producer Donick Cary, and was supposed to debut at SXSW last month prior to the major event’s cancelation in early March due to COVID-19.

“Unlike ‘Drunk History’ — which is drunk people trying to tell stories…. we ended up with very sober people reflecting on what they learned —sharing the good and bad, the mistakes and revelations,” Cary told Forbes when discussing the format of his new film. “We actually talked to TWICE as many people as are in the film and hope to do a part two. We had too many great stories to fit in one movie. We still have amazing stories and revelations from David Crosby and Patton Oswalt, Whitney Cummings and Ozzy Osbourne to Bootsy Collins, Devo and the ‘Jackass’ guys.”

Watch the first trailer for the forthcoming documentary below. Kreutzmann briefly makes an appearance about halfway through the video where the drummer is heard saying, “My cymbals were melting … You can take too much and that’s a mistake.”
