Billy Joel on Tuesday announced that he has to postpone eight of his upcoming arena and stadium tour dates “due to a medical condition.”
Per a note posted to the Piano Man’s social media, “The current tour will be postponed for four months to allow him to recover from recent surgery and to undergo physical therapy under the supervision of his doctors. Joel is expected to make a full recovery.”
“While I regret postponing any shows,” read a note from Joel himself, “my health must come first. I look forward to getting back on stage and sharing the joy of live music with our amazing fans. Thank you for your understanding.”
Joel was originally due to spend the spring of 2025 performing at Toronto, ON’s Rogers Center (March 15th), Detroit, MI’s Ford Field (March 29th, with Stevie Nicks), Syracuse, NY’s JMA Wireless Dome (April 11th, with Sting), Milwaukee, WI’s American Family Field (April 26th, with Sting), Charlotte, NC’s Bank of America Stadium (May 10th, with Sting), Salt Lake City, UT’s Rice-Eccles Stadium (May 23rd, with Sting), Edinburgh, Scotland’s Scottish Gas Murrayfield (June 7th), and Liverpool, England’s Anfield (June 21st).
Now, the Detroit show with Nicks has been pushed to November 15th, 2025 while the rest of the aforementioned Billy Joel spring tour dates have been shifted to 2026. All purchased tickets will automatically be valid for the rescheduled shows. View a list of the updated concert dates below.

As it currently stands, Billy Joel will resume touring with a July 5th show at Pittsburgh, PA’s Acrisure Stadium with Rod Stewart. From there Billy will spend the rest of July and August conquering the New York Metro Area’s major sports stadiums with shows at the New York Yankees’ Bronx, NY ballpark Yankee Stadium (7/18, with Rod Stewart) and East Rutherford, NJ’s MetLife Stadium, home of the New York Giants and New York Jets (8/8, with Stevie Nicks), and the New York Mets’ Citi Field in Queens (8/21, with Sting).
