Whether you’re sitting out Billy Strings‘ Southeastern winter run because you couldn’t score tickets, didn’t feel like traveling, or for any other reason, the guitarist has you covered with livestreams on nugs. All eight shows will be available to stream for nugs subscribers at no additional cost.
The stretch of three weekend runs kicks off with shows on February 16th, 17th, and 18th at Asheville, NC’s ExploreAsheville.com Arena. These concerts will mark Billy’s first of 2024 and his first trip back to Asheville since his 2022 Away From The Shire-themed Halloween run at the downtown arena. The past few years had seen Strings adopt the Western North Carolina music hub as a Halloween home base—with holiday shows there in 2019, 2021, and 2022—until taking his festivities back home to Michigan for the Van Andel Scramble this past year.
After Asheville, Billy will head back home the following weekend for a three-night run in Nashville spread across two venues on February 23rd, 24th, and 25th. Following two nights at Bridgestone Arena, home of the NHL‘s Nashville Predators, Strings will return to the hallowed Ryman Auditorium for a single show. The guitarist’s pilgrimages to the intimate 2,362-capacity Mother Church of Country Music have previously seen him welcome special guests Bob Weir and Les Claypool in 2022 and put on a Sunday service of all classic bluegrass songs in 2023.
Lastly, Strings and his band—comprised of Jarrod Walker (mandolin), Billy Failing (banjo), Royal Masat (bass), and Alex Hargreaves (fiddle)—will close the Southeast run with two nights at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena on March 1st and 2nd. Billy made his debut at the home of the NBA‘s Atlanta Hawks back on March 10th of last year.
