[UPDATE 1/5/24]: After teasing his various upcoming destinations via a word search puzzle on Sunday, Billy Strings has confirmed his 2025 spring tour [ticketing information].
The 19-date outing is due to begin in St. Augustine, FL on April 3rd, 4th, and 5th and make stops in Tampa, FL (4/9), Savannah, GA (4/11, 4/12), Charlottesville, VA (4/15), Cary, NC (4/17, 4/18, 4/19), Grand Rapids, MI (5/30, 5/31), Chicago suburb Rosemont, IL (6/6, 6/7), Kansas City, MO (6/11), St. Louis, MO (6/13, 6/14), and Lexington, KY (6/20, 6/21).
Fans can sign up for pre-sale access for the newly announced 2025 spring tour dates via Billy Strings’ website. Pre-sales will begin on Wednesday, January 8th at 10:00 a.m. local venue time ahead of a general on-sale on Friday, January 10th at 10:00 a.m. local venue time. Find full ticketing details here.
All ten of the destinations on the now-confirmed spring tour were among the answers found by fans in Strings’ word search puzzle from Sunday. The biggest question mark that remains is the conspicuous “Dead Set” fans spotted adjacent to the word “June” in the puzzle which was not included in Tuesday’s official announcement. While many fans have speculated that this could point to some sort of Grateful Dead tribute—perhaps as the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival‘s annual SuperJam—the now-confirmed St. Louis dates are set for the Friday/Saturday of Bonnaroo weekend, when the festival’s SuperJam typically takes place. That said, Strings has open dates on his calendar on Thursday, June 11th and Sunday, June 15th, so a Bonnaroo 2025 play isn’t necessarily off the table. Bonnaroo’s lineup is due to arrive on Wednesday, January 8th.
Ahead of the newly confirmed spring tour dates, Billy Strings will head to Denver, CO’s Ball Arena for three nights (1/24–1/26), Asheville, NC’s ExploreAsheville.com Arena for a two-weekend, six-show engagement (2/6–2/8, 2/14–2/16), and Atlanta, GA’s State Farm Arena (2/21–2/22). He will also play a three-night, hometown run in Nashville, TN at Bridgestone Arena (2/28–3/1) and Ryman Auditorium (3/2).

[1/5/24]: Billy Strings fans took a break from The New York Times crossword puzzle on Sunday to decipher a word search with clues pointing to a 2025 spring tour. Strings shared the puzzle on Sunday without comment days after he rang in 2025 with three nights in New Orleans.
Internet sleuths quickly got to work solving the puzzle designed for children, with popular jam band meme page @heady_net publishing a cheat sheet within hours of Strings’ post. Among the words found were “spring” and “tour,” which happened to overlap; “Savannah” which overlapped with “April;” “Kansas City” which overlapped with “May” and “June;” and the cities “St. Louis,” “Lexington,” “Chicago,” “St. Augustine,” “Charlottesville,” “Grand Rapids,” “Tampa”, and “Cary” found throughout the puzzle. Commenters also pointed out the inclusion of “Dead Set,” which is rather conspicuous given Strings’ recent policy of not playing Grateful Dead songs (“just too many pigs on the teet”).
Billy Strings has made no official announcement regarding a 2025 spring tour, but his schedule is wide open following a three-night hometown run in Nashville at Bridgestone Arena (2/28–3/1) and Ryman Auditorium (3/2). Prior to that, he will take over Denver’s Ball Arena (1/24–1/26), Asheville’s ExploreAsheville.com Arena for a two-weekend engagement (2/6–2/8, 2/14–2/16), and Atlanta’s State Farm Arena (2/21–2/22).
