At the end of the month, The Disco Biscuits will return to Colorado for their annual Bisco Inferno run. The Biscuits will perform three nights at Denver’s Ogden Theatre from May 24th to 26th ahead of the jamtronica juggernaut’s headlining performance at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Sunday, May 27th, with support from Spafford and Organ Freeman.

With many fans flocking from Denver to Morrison, Colorado, for the Red Rocks show, inevitably a number of charter buses will be running up and back from the city to the show. One bus program, The Bakked Biscuit Inferno Bus Party, has a special package lined up for riders, which will also benefit a good cause. Ahead of the show and while waiting for the buses to leave, Mile High Spirits will host a special bus party featuring the funk-rock group Tula and DJ Hug, in addition to a number of special guests.

At a cost of $25 dollars, the price to ride up on the buses is already competitive, and most of those rides don’t include a full-blown pre-party to enjoy. However, to sweeten the pot, 100% of the proceeds from the buses, which will be run by Bus To Show, will be donated to Mile High Scenesters, a non-profit that provides local youth musicians with real-world exposure, stage and studio time, equipment, and mentorship. Furthermore, title sponsors of the event, Bakked and O.penvape, will donate $5 to the organization for each person who attends the pre-party, with the pre-party open to non-riders for a suggested donation of $5.

As Brian Duggan, manager for Tula, explained in an email,

The charity we are benefiting, The Mile High Scenesters, is something that hits home for me. Growing up in poverty, I did not have access to instruments or music lessons, as they were far too expensive for my family. If a charity like this had existed when I was a kid, perhaps I would have learned to play music at a younger age and grown into twice the player I am today. That being said, I don’t want to let any talented young kids grow up without access to music. The Mile High Scenesters do exactly that—raise money for instruments and volunteer time to teach kids music! It is a wonderful charity.
