On Monday, brothers Chris Robinson and Rich Robinson went on The Howard Stern Show to talk about their reconciliation and officially announce the news that’s been swirling in rumor form for months: The Black Crowes will head out on a massive 30th-anniversary tour in 2020.

In addition to announcing the forthcoming tour and introducing the new band lineup—which features the brothers Robinson alongside guitarist Isaiah Mitchell (Earthless), former Tedeschi Trucks Band bassist Tim Lefebvre, and Once & Future Band members Joel Robinow (keys) and Raj Ojha (drums)—the band revealed that they would play a surprise pop-up show on Monday night at New York’s intimate Bowery Ballroom.
Fans quickly lined up at the Bowery box office to snag their last-minute tickets for the first live Black Crowes show since an early-2014 benefit show in Boston. True to the billing of the forthcoming tour, the Robinsons and company spent their brief set working through the entirety of their 1990 debut album, Shake Your Money Maker. For their encore, the band returned to deliver a sing-along rendition of The Rolling Stones‘ “It’s Only Rock n’ Roll (But I Like It)”.
