Blackberry Smoke returned to Atlanta for the band’s annual holiday homecoming concert, featuring support and sit-ins from Larkin Poe. Friday’s show at the Coca-Cola Roxy in the band’s hometown also saw the musicians bring out members of their families to sit in throughout the show.

The hometown heroes fittingly kicked off the concert with the band’s tribute to the Peach State, “You Hear Georgia”. Blackberry Smoke also made sure to include the band’s latest single, “Hammer and the Nail”, into the 19-song setlist before opening up the floodgates of special guests. Rebecca Lovell and Megan Lovell a.k.a. Larkin Poe were the first to join in on Blackberry’s “Let Me Down Easy”. Elsewhere in the set, drummer Brit Turner and guitarist Paul Jackson both invited family members to sit in on “Little Bit Crazy” and “Morningside” respectively, along with Charlie Starr‘s son, guitarist Christian Gray, on the latter.

Blackberry Smoke saved the biggest surprise for the encore, however, bringing out guitarist Tyler Bryant for an encore of Tom Petty‘s “I Won’t Back Down”. Bryant shared the limelight with Larkin Poe’s Megan and Rebecca, the latter of whom is also his wife, who joined in on the cover before Blackberry Smoke closed down the show with “Ain’t Much Left of Me”.
