On Saturday, Blink 182 was in southern Calfornia over the weekend where the popular punk-rock band headlined day one of their second annual Back to the Beach Festival at Huntington State Beach. The two-day event featured Oceanside performances from bands including The Used, Reel Big Fish, Streetlight Manifesto, Less Than Jake, and more, but one of the big highlights of the weekend came during Blink’s set, when they performed all the songs from their breakthrough 1999 album, Enema of the State.

The band, which now consists of bassist Mark Hoppus, drummer Travis Barker, and guitarist Matt Skiba, took fans on a nostalgic journey by tearing through each hard-hitting song from their 1999 studio album in order. The 12-track album launched the trio out of the pop/punk scene and into the mainstream spotlight when Enema arrived on June 1st, 1999. Though there’s still a month to go before the album celebrates its actual 20th birthday, attendees at Back to the Beach surely appreciated rocking out to Enema in full, in addition to hearing a few other fan-favorites from their catalog.

The band’s performance of “Aliens Exist” and “Anthem” marked their first time playing the songs live with new guitarist Matt Skiba. Amazingly enough, the performance of “Anthem” on Saturday marked the band’s first time playing the song since 1999.

Blink-182 is scheduled to perform at Warped Tour‘s 25th-anniversary event in Atlantic City on June 29th, followed by an appearance at San Francisco’s Outside Lands later on in the summer. Fans can head to the band’s website for tickets and tour info.
