Blue Ox Music Festival will return to the rolling hills of Eau Claire, WI with a 2024 lineup topped by Band of Horses, Sierra Ferrell, and Watchhouse (formerly Mandolin Orange). The festival’s tenth-anniversary celebration is slated for June 27th–29th at its longtime home of The Pines Music Park.

Since 2015, Blue Ox has built a reputation as a melting pot for the different flavors of American roots music. The 2024 lineup highlights that diversity with bluegrass pillars Sam Bush Band and Del McCoury Band playing alongside up-and-comers like Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway and Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country. Cajun slamgrass regular Leftover Salmon shares the lineup with rootsy quintet Horseshoes & Hand Grenades, songstress Lindsay Lou, Americana dream team The High Hawks (ft. members of Leftover Salmon, Railroad Earth, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades), and many more. Peart Near Sandstone will return as hosts and perform for two nights.

Helms & The Virginia Creepers, Mama Said String Band, Feed The Dog, Saltydog, Clay Street Unit, Glitterfox, Art Stevenson & Highwater, Pretend Friend, Andrew Wakefield, Maygen & The Birdwatcher, and Superior Siren round out the rest of the initial lineup. The festival still has one more headliner to announce along with the lineup for the Backwoods Stage, with an announcement arriving in the coming weeks.

Blue Ox will host three nights of performances across three stages—the Main Stage, Saloon Stage, and Backwoods Stage. Attendees will sprawl out on the lush 155-acre campground dotted with tall trees along the hills of western Wisconsin. The family-friendly environment will also feature an array of other activities including music workshops, morning yoga and meditation, kids activity stages, and a nin-hole disc golf course.

Tickets for the 2024 Blue Ox Music Festival, including 2-Day and 3-Day passes, are on sale now via the festival website. Children 13 and under are admitted free with a paid adult. To maintain an intimate environment, ticket sales will be limited to 5,000.

In the months leading up to the festival, Nate Sipe (Peart Near Sandstone) and Blue Ox MC Justin Bruhn will host the popular Road to Blue Ox Podcast. Each episode will hear them interview artists on the lineup, as well as share insights and updates on the festival.
