How does it feel? For weeks, no one knew the answer to that infamous “Like A Rolling Stone” question, as Bob Dylan did not publicly recognize the fact that he was chosen to receive the Nobel Prize In Literature back on October 13th. Though he played at Desert Trip the following weekend and even strummed a guitar onstage for the first time in years, Dylan was tight-lipped about the award. The only mention of it was on his website, briefly, before being deleted after 24 hours.
It took until yesterday, October 29th, for Dylan to address that question, as he gave an exclusive interview to The Telegraph. “Isn’t that something?,” he said, before opening up a bit more. “It’s hard to believe… amazing, incredible. Whoever dreams about something like that?”
Dylan was surprisingly tight-lipped about the whole thing, not even returning calls from the Nobel Committee. He coyly said, “well I’m right here” when asked about it, as if the committee just had the wrong number this whole time. He also said that he plans to head to Stockholm for the ceremony, “if at all possible.”
