Bob Dylan will bring his Rough and Rowdy Ways Worldwide Tour to North America in fall 2023 for a newly announced run of shows. The stretch of 17 concerts will run the length of October from the 1st through the 30th, though a tweet from his official account states that “more dates will be posted soon.”
The tour dates focus primarily on the eastern United States with a trio of Canadian shows. Kicking off with a two-night stand in Kansas City (10/1, 10/2), the tour includes multiple-night engagements at theaters in Chicago (10/6–10/8), Milwaukee (10/11–10/12), and Toronto (10/26, 10/27). The Nobel Prize winner will also stop at major hubs including St. Louis, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Rochester, Montreal, and others before wrapping the initial run of dates in Schenectady, NY (10/30).
Tickets for the new stretch of Bob Dylan Rough and Rowdy Ways North American tour dates go on sale on Friday via his website. The tour is advertised to last through 2024.
Dylan will arrive back on domestic stages with a growing cache of covers he introduced while overseas. During a run through Japan, Dylan introduced a number of songs by his former onstage collaborators the Grateful Dead, including “Truckin'” and “Brokedown Palace”, among others he played for the first time in years like “Friend of the Devil”. Outside the Dead sphere, he also added songs by Van Morrison, Merle Haggard, Jerry Lee Lewis, and others while abroad.
