On Wednesday, October 31st, Bob Weir and Wolf Bros continued their cross-country trek with their first of two nights at Chicago, IL’s Chicago Theatre. Bobby, drummer Jay Lane, and bassist Don Was kicked off the show with a first-set mix of Grateful Dead favorites (“Cassidy”, “Friend of the Devil”, “Weather Report Suite”, “Let It Grow”), RatDog cuts (“Even So”, “October Queen”, “Two Djinn”), and classic covers (“Queen Jane Approximately”, “Little Red Rooster”).

The second set opened with Ratdog’s “Ashes and Glass”, which led into Roy Hamilton‘s “Don’t Let Go” and weaved back into “Ashes and Glass”. Howlin’ Wolf‘s “Smokestack Lightning” came next, followed by Bob Dylan‘s “All Along the Watchtower”. The second set closed with a trio of Grateful Dead songs, “Wharf Rat”, “China Cat Sunflower”, “I Know You Rider”.

The trio returned to the stage to perform “Werewolves of London”, fittingly on Halloween, and returned once more to close the show with “It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue” by Bob Dylan.
