On Friday, Bob Weir was welcomed as a special guest during both Old Crow Medicine Show and Edie Brickell and New Bohemian‘s LOCKN’ sets.

Towards the end of their late-afternoon set, Dallas-bred alternative rock/jam outfit Edie Brick and New Bohemians welcomed Weir for a take on the traditional “Deep Ellum Blues”, subtly paying homage to the band’s Texas roots.

Later in the evening, Bob Weir returned and joined Nashville-based Americana string band Old Crow Medicine Show for a trio of tunes to close out the band’s festival performance. Weir assisted on “Mexicali Blues”, “Cumberland Blues”, and a set-closing “Will The Circle Be Unbroken”, leaving fans in attendance anxious for the remainder of the weekend’s star-studded collaborations.
