Bob Weir will bring the expanded Wolf Bros lineup he’s been fine-tuning at TRI Studios on a four-night run of Colorado shows in June including stops at Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Vail’s Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater.

The mini-tour will kick off at Red Rocks in Morrison, CO on Tuesday, June 8th and Wednesday, June 9th. From there, Bob Weir and the extended Wolf Bros family will head to Vail for performances on Friday, June 11th and Saturday, June 12th.

As the Grateful Dead guitarist/vocalist and Wolf Bros bandleader noted along with the announcement, “Been too long, but I can’t think of a better place to pick it back up.” The performances will mark Weir’s first shows in front of a live audience since his spring Wolf Bros tour was cut short following a March 11th, 2020 performance in Chicago.

The Wolf Bros are Bob Weir (guitar, vocals), Don Was (upright bass), and Jay Lane (drums). These very special shows will also feature Jeff Chimenti on keys and Greg Leisz on pedal steel, along with The Wolfpack: Alex Kelly (cello), Brian Switzer (trumpet), Adam Theis (trombone), Mads Tolling (violin), and Sheldon Brown (clarinet, flute, saxophone).

Tickets for the upcoming Bob Weir and Wolf Bros shows at Red Rocks and Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater go on sale this Friday, April 30th. For more information and ticketing details, head here.

Of note, Red Rocks has quickly lined up a busy schedule of spring shows since receiving approval from the state to welcome 2,500 distanced fans at a time, or roughly 25% of its full capacity. Other recent announcements include performances by Papadosio (6/2 with Dirtwire and Bluetech), Big Head Todd and the Monsters (6/12, 6/13), and The Revivalists (6/10, 6/11).
