Bob Weir will bring the Wolf Bros to the legendary Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA on Saturday, July 4th, the Grateful Dead guitarist/vocalist confirmed on Monday.

The announcement of the performance at the Greek follows a run of four sold-out shows in Colorado earlier this month including two nights at Red Rocks and two nights at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheatre in Vail. The Colorado run featured Weir’s first shows in front of live audiences since before the pandemic.

Weir and his core Wolf Bros, bassist Don Was and drummer Jay Lane, will once again be joined at the Greek by pedal steel guitarist Greg Leisz and keyboardist Jeff Chimenti.

The ensemble will also be bolstered by The Wolf Pack chamber ensemble featuring woodwind specialist Sheldon Brown, violinist Mads Tolling, trombonist Adam Theis, trumpeter Brian Switzer, and cellist Alex Kelly.

Weir has a long history at the Greek as part of the Grateful Dead. The Northern California natives played the famous outdoor venue nearly 30 times dating back to 1967.

Tickets for the Bob Weir & Wolf Bros show at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA on Saturday, July 24th go on sale to the general public on Friday, June 25th. For more information and ticketing details, head here.

Later this summer, Bob Weir will hit the road with Dead & Company for a lengthy run of 2021 tour dates. For a full list of Dead & Company 2021 tour dates, head here.
