Bob Weir has announced that he will bring the original Wolf Bros trio to Menlo Park, CA’s The Guild Theatre for a five-show stint taking place on April 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th, and 8th.
Weir’s folk- and Americana-oriented reimagining of the Grateful Dead songbook has in recent years ballooned in size with the addition of supporting players like keyboardist Jeff Chimenti, pedal steel guitarists like Berry Sless and Greg Leisz, auxiliary horn and string ensemble The Wolf Pack, and even a full symphony orchestra on a few occasions. For the five-night run at The Guild Theatre, Bob Weir will go back to basics with his original Wolf Bros trio comprised of himself, bassist Don Was, and drummer Jay Lane.
