Brandi Carlile revealed on a recent episode of the Table Manners podcast that she aspires to follow in the footsteps of Jerry Garcia and Phish by having her own official Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavor.
“What would be the flavors?” inquired co-host Jessie Ware.
“Okay so I have a name and everything,” Carlile replied. After stopping to explain to Ware and her mother/co-host Lennie Ware that Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food ice cream was inspired by Phish, which is a band, she went on to describe a hypothetical flavor called “Candy Bar-lile,” featuring a vanilla base and “all the best candy bars crushed up, and all your favorite ones, Heath and Hershey’s with almonds and Snickers and Baby Ruth.” Continuing to stretch her imagine, she subsequently added Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, also noting, “butter fingers would be big.”
To demonstrate just how serious she was about this ice cream dream of hers, Carlile threw in, “I would give back two of my Grammys for a Candy Bar-lile ice cream release.”
